I am Cherie – just Cherie – no last name, kind of like Madonna or Cher. Like those two fabulous ladies, I am a bit of a diva as well. Let me get to that in a minute.
I am an impossibly sweet, two year old female Chihuahua cross recently rescued from a high kill shelter in California – escaped by the skin of my teeth actually. I am a good natured dog, although I am a bit shy at first, especially with men. That shyness is really just an act – that is my ploy to get TREATS!! Give me treats and I am your new best friend. I am very cuddly and love to snuggle beside you on the sofa – no wait….I didn’t mean beside you – I meant ON you – I love a good lap.
I am also a great conversation starter while going for walks. First of all….my ears. I have one that sticks straight up and one that curls down. It is one of my better features – nothing ordinary about me. It also helps me to balance when I stand on my head. Yes, I stand on my head with my very cute bum sticking in the air. Not many dogs can do that – some just shake a paw or fetch….amatures (sniff).
I am great with other dogs, in fact I have a very best friend in my foster home. Her name is Precious. Precious is very dependent on me and would really, really love to come with me to my new home. If you are looking for two dogs, we are definitely the pair for you! Although I haven’t had much exposure to cats and kids, my sweet nature likely means I would be great with either. I am quiet, calm and very talented. And even though I am just Cherie for now, that is only temporary. Deep in my heart I would really love a last name. My adoption fee is $350.00.
