Hi, my name is Cookie! I am an adoring 7-8 Labrador/Border Collie Mix who absolutely loves people and thrives on affection. I have never been known to turn down some lovin’ and will smile with my whole body when I am around you. I grew up in a home where my dad loved me, but my mom didn’t like having dogs inside the house. So, I had to stay outside during the day and then had to sleep all by myself in the garage at night. I got pretty lonely. My dad asked ABL to try to find me a new family where I could stay inside and cuddle up to someone when I’m tired. I am starting to get older, so a soft, warm bed would be so nice.
I would love to join you for walks and car rides, and all of your outside activities in the yard. I get along fine with cats, but I’m rather jealous of dogs getting attention that I would like to have all to myself. I am in a foster home right now and I’m doing really well. My foster mom has a cat and another foster dog and I am starting to get used to sharing. I’m totally a people dog though and I will give you all the loving you need! I like kids, but a home with older kids would be best. My joints are starting to get a bit achy with my age and young children might be a bit hard on me. I am looking for a home that will shower me with lots of affection and companionship. I will reward you with my undying love and adoration, and my very good manners.
